About The Finch & Guild

The Finch & Guild Forum is now up. You can access it from the link on the right hand side of the page. There you will be able to discuss your interests with each other and post your own articles in a place that allows deeper conversations than the commenting system.
This page is set up as a F.A.Q.to answer some questions about the site.
#1. Q. Why is it called The Finch & Guild?
A. No particular reason. We had to come up with a name so we thought we would name it the same way that allot of Pubs and Bars are named. (The Green Dragon, The Spoon and Cow, Etc.)
#2. Q. Why Finch & Guild?
A. Again, no real reason. Those were just the first two things we found that sounded well together.
#3 Q. What is posted on this site?
A. We post:
Topical and news stories with editorials.
Original articles with thoughts on society, culture, science, politics, and anything else that seems interesting.
Entertaining, educational and funny posts. (it's nice to take a break and learn or laugh every now and then)
You may also find some random posts on things that are just unique or interesting in their own right.
We are working on a system to allow users to post articles and things as well. You can always E-mail thefinchandguild@gmail.com with your thoughts and ideas for articles, stories or whatever.
#4. Q. Is there mission of The Finch & Guild website?
A. Much of the mission of this site is to discuss ideas and thoughts on the social, economic, and scientific problems we face. Through our interaction and discussion we can help to understand and hopefully solve some of these problems.
The general mission is to promote discussion and thought. We would like The Finch & Guild to be much like an online pub or bar in the since that people can talk about the topics and issues they see. Instead of only responding to what visitors see or read they are invited to join the conversation, add their own viewpoints, and help guide the direction of discussion.
The Finch & Guild is not itself partisan an does not itself promote any political party over any other. We would like to be an open place for people of varying viewpoints to join in.
